IMG_8821

in this image i wanted to make it look simple. I took a picture with all of the nature in the backround, with the hilly landscape with all the dandilions and the vintage looking deer feed.

IMG_8824

For this image i wanted to show repititon in the onion bed.

IMG_8831

For this image i used the rule of thirds, focusing on the apple tree buds.

IMG_8832

For this image, the dandilions contrast with the green grass.

IMG_8833

For this image i was aiming for a scenery type of image. I balanced the dirt road by making it the main focus in the middle of the photograph.

IMG_8835

For this image i used balancing. I show the deer feeder off to the right a little bit but also the deer in the way back round in the feild.

IMG_8838

For this image i used a bit of balancing. I made the main focus the hay bail with all the different aspects bringing the image together such as the lighting, the broken tree and the forest in the backround.

IMG_8839

For this image i wanted to show contrast between the colour of the leaves and the sky.

IMG_8840

For this image i also used contrast from the black feather to the bright green grass.

IMG_8841

For this image i used balancing again. I made my house the main focus of the image while placing it in the middle of the photograph.

IMG_8844

For this image i used the sports selection to take a photograph of my dog trying to catch a mouse. I used rule of thirds to try and get the mouse into the image.

IMG_8846

For this image i used balancing as well as a bit of contrast. I balanced the image by making most of the action happening on the right where everything is, and i also used contrast skills between the colour of the tire compared to the actual machine.

IMG_8847

For this image i used the rule of thirds. I showed the swing on the side and very close up to get all the detail of the swing.

IMG_8849

For this image i took it on an angle to make the horizon look a little bigger. I also used a bit of rule of thirds and focused the main idea more to the right.

IMG_8836

For this image i wanted to show simplicity between the grass and the tree line. The grass is very calm and plain and then the tree line has lots of different trees poking out. Together it makes a very simple image.

20130602-142952.jpg

For this photograph i used the balancing technique from composistion. I made the main focus (gardner) off to the right more because i wanted to show more of the chain fence which makes the image look more vintage. I also made sure you could see his hands which have dirt on them to show that he had been gardening. Another technique i used for this image was the lighting. i made the contrast a little bit deeper to make the dirty pants and hands stand out more to also make the image look vintage.

20130602-143404.jpg

For this image i used the rule of thirds. I put the main focus off to the right so that you could see more of the garden they were working on. In this image there are alot of props such as a the wooden posts, rake, garden beds and chain fence that make the image look very vintage.

20130602-143736.jpg

For this image i took it from an angle to show more than one plant that needed to be put into the garden. I also focused on one main plant to show what was being planted. While doing this, i notice that  the other ones are blurred which also gives the image more depth and repitition.

For this image i tried to make it look simple but vintage. i told my sister to hold out her hands with a bit of dirt on them while holding the seeds for an artisitc look. I focused on her hands and the seeds as the main focus of the photograph.

For this image i used the sport selection on my camera to get an action shot of the gardener ripping out the weeds from the garden. This gives the image  an edgy vintage look to show the hard work being done. I also focused in on the dirt so that when the weeds were being torn out of the garden; it looked more intense.

For this shot i wanted to show the scenery of the garden around my house. This stone sculpture gives the image a vintage look and a great look for the garden. I also made sure you coud see the plants beside it to keep the image constant with my theme. I also used the rule of thirds for this image and put the main focus off to the right to show more of the backround in the image.

For this image i also used the rule of thirds. I put the main focus off to the right so you could still see the gardens in the backround along with the chain fence which makes the image look very vintage. I took a picture of this old honda soil turner because the machine is very old and rustic.

For this image i had used the sports selection on the camera to get an action shot of the gardener digging up the dirt. In this image, the gardner is digging the dirt and is about to plant the seeds. I also just focused on him instead of using the rule of thirds because the action in this photo is enough for a great photograph.

For this image i wanted the strawberry plants to look like a repitition. I focused on low on the strawberry plants to make sure it looked like a plane of plants.

970443_10152867446110508_183749567_n

For this image i focused on the shovel because it shows a tool used for gardening. i made sure the main focus looked natural and simple with the dirt on it. Also this image has a bit of contrasting with the dirt and the bright green shovel.

Other photography taken just for looks:

Logo’s

LOGO SERIOUS

This logo was created by me for a company called Century. I used the circular “C” to represent that the company covers all sporting goods needed year round. I also called the company “Century” because i wanted to make it sound like it still had vintage items brought into more modern times (customers would be impressed that we carry on tradition of sporting goods). I also made the big “C” go from red to yellow like a fire because it gives off the impression that the sporting equipment is top notch material and designed to make all athletes more durable, fast and better while playing sports if they wear our products. The font is also very bold and edgy because i wanted it convey serious sports attitude and that we are very certain our products will have the best results among others.

yoga clothing

I created this logo for a yoga company called “Chichi”. I needed to have a symbol to represent all the clothing from chichi kind of like how lululemon has the omega sign on all their clothing. I chose to make it look like a flower because it represents flowiness, earthly and soft like how people would want their yoga experience to be. I also chose to make the colour go from a baby light blue to a earthly green to also show that the company is providing light clothing and a happniess kind of feeling. The font i chose was very bubbly and friendly, i chose this because it comes off as sweet and not so serious.
